Fun in '05

As T.S. Eliot wrote in The Waste Land, "April is the cruelest month." Below, Greg discovers how true that is as he said goodbye to his beloved Taurus — the car he would never get to drive. Unfortunately, we were taking it to the dealer to trade-in on a new vehicle.

Greg moved behind the plate defensively this year, donning a catcher's protective gear to handle the receiving duties for the Edgemont Yankees. Offensively, Greg was the team leader in on-base percentage but took a lot more bases-on-balls than he wanted to. He also led the team in a highly undesirable category: He was hit by a pitch more often than anyone on the Yanks. |
