"My Vacation Journal" Written in Ms. Taylor's Second Grade class at Greenville School, On Sunday night I watched Roxanne. It was about a man who had a big nose. I thought it was funny. I've seen many funny movies like Roxanne. Next I hope to see Splash. It's about a mermaid . . . but that's another story. Age of Ice On Monday I saw Ice Age. It was fun and exciting. Then I went to the book store. I had a good time reading the books. I had a great day in Yonkers. Welcome Home, Jackie On Tuesday my neighbors came home from Boston where my cousin lives. I walked Morgan, their dog, every day and fed biscuits to him before or after every walk. I missed them while they were gone. Long Time No See On Wednesday I had a playdate with my friend Eric. We played trains, watched a video, wrote poems, and went to the playground. We did many things on the playdate. Eric is a good friend. High Flying On Thursday I went to Atlanta to see my cousins MM and Kate. I took a Delta flight from Laguardia Airport to Atlanta. I saw them at the airport after our flight came in. I had a fun time in Atlanta.
A Stone as Big as New York
I went to Stone Mountain on Friday. I had rides on the train and the skylift. I had so much fun. The train went around the mountain, and the skylift went over it. I had a fun time at Stone Mountain. Double Sports Day On Saturday I saw The Rookie. It's based on a true story. I was going to go bowling, but The Rookie was too long. Good thing I liked the movie. My favorite player on the team was Joe the catcher. I liked The Rookie because I had baseball cards and it was a good movie. Easter On Sunday it was Easter. I had candy and went out with my paddle racket. My score out of all the times I've done it is 1,116. I had lunch after paddle racket and presents. I got Harry Potter Lego. The Lego I got was the Hogwarts Express and the new Flying Lessons. I collected jelly beans from Grammie and Gramps, Uncle Steven, his roommate Collin, and my cousin Ben. Soon a storm was starting and everyone left. I had to leave too. I said good-bye to everyone and set off for home. Edited only for spelling and punctuation by Greg's Dad. |
