Sonic-Man

Sonic-Man was created by Greg at age 8,
after seeing the movie Spider-Man.

Sonic-Man has great hearing abilities, and he can jump very high. If he was at the bottom of the Empire State Building, he could almost make it to the top on one jump. And he has super-strength.

His costume is a dark-blue mask with eye holes, a blue body suit, yellow gloves and boots and the S symbol on his chest.

He has a secret identity. It is Eric Turpin. His characteristics are: scientist, widower, and father. Oh, and he has a nice car, a VW Beetle. He lives in San Francisco, California.

His weakness is very loud sounds. They can make him deaf.

Sonic-Man's history: As a boy, he lived in a playground with his father. All the money they had was $10. His father saved him from a car accident when he was 6. His mother died when he was 10 years old.

The way he got his powers was: In his lab one day, with two other scientists, an experiment was going on. They had created a special beam to change human hearing forever. Eric accidentally got in the way of the beam when it was turned on. For a week his hearing was terrible. Then he discovered his new powers and became one of the greatest heroes of all time.

But Sonic-Man can't save San Francisco all by himself.

He has a few nifty things to help him. He may be able to jump high but he can't jump fast. The SuperSonic Speed Machine can get him almost anywhere in San Francisco at anytime. And sometimes, when he falls off of buildings, his Claw-Grabber, a special rope with a claw on the end, can grab onto buildings and prevent him from falling into the street and being run over by a truck. And last but certainly not least, his robotic dog, Rover, which comes from Animal Calculation Technology. Rover helps him get around by letting Sonic-Man ride on his back and gets Sonic-Man out of the way by pulling, pushing or grabbing him out of the way of whatever is about to destroy him. Sonic-Man says Rover is the most reliable dog ever.

One of the things Sonic-Man uses all these nifty gadgets for is defeating Icicle, one of the greatest, meanest and most evil villains of all time. Icicle can freeze almost any living, breathing thing then punch it or kick it and crack that living thing into millions of little pieces of ice.

Sonic-Man's powers, his dog and other things that help him defeat Icicle and save San Francisco every day may be cool, but what really helps him is that he has a good heart and is a good person.

He has a secret hideaway called the Hearing Aid. It is under his apartment building, way under. In the Hearing Aid there are giant computer screens that give him information on what his foes are going to do next. It is absolutely sound proof. No sound can get in and no sound can get out. Also in the Hearing Aid, stored specially, there is the supersonic speed machine, one of the fastest cars on earth. Rover has a special station. When his batteries are running low (which happens almost every 6 months) he rests in a special dome where he is shut off and not used all day. By the next morning he has been recharged and is pumped up and ready to go.

Two things he has to protect and always does a good job protecting are his son and his girlfriend. First, his son Adam Turpin has always been suspicious of his dad being Sonic-Man. Finally Sonic-Man admits it to his son. The second person, his girlfriend Jaime Derikson is the owner and founder of A-Force Science Company. When it comes to Sonic-Man she can not choose who she wants to be her boyfriend, Eric or Sonic-Man.

At first Sonic-Man was a looser, a wimp or at least that's what the other guys at A-Force Science Company thought. But once he got his super-powers he was the coolest guy in San Francisco.
